The popularity of the ‘Early Class 25’ in BR green has led us to introduce a second running number. D7595 was the third to last loco to be constructed by Darlington Works before closure, entering traffic in the summer of 1964. This Class 25/2 spent its early years allocated to the LMR working off various East Midlands sheds. It was a regular along the length of the MML.
