A fascinating re-purposing for three redundant Class 25s was the conversion to ‘ETHEL’ (ETH Ex-Locomotive) units. These were initially paired with Class 37/0s that could not provide electrical power for Mk. 3 sleeping cars that were introduced on the Fort William route. Our blue/grey ETHEL 3 is fully-featured (powered) with motor to enable it propel and/or haul your formation. Include ETH cable receptacles.
