Introduced to the range earlier than anticipated to cater for ongoing demand of BR corporate blue models, No. 25086 is one of only a handful of Class 25/2 locomotives which were equipped with steam generators for the heating of passenger stock. This model is correct for the 1980s, which saw it allocated to the Scottish Region, before heading south of the border for the remainder of its life.
