Class 37/5 No. 37507 Hartlepool Pipe Mill (Railfreight Metals)

THE TREMENDOUS SUCCESS of our first Class 37/5 twin pack was predictable from the responses received as soon as it was advertised. When Bachmann contacted us to let us know that an additional production slot was available we jumped at the opportunity and chose include another loco as a single item. With the type’s regular employment on steel traffic in the north-east, a machine in Metals sub-sector livery was the obvious candidate. Hartlepool Pipe Mill fitted the bill with some interesting detail and an impressive nameplate. The choice was inspired, being ‘snapped up’ even faster than the original double pack.
